Marketing in financial services; the sector sees the highest salaries for marketing job roles, approximately 25% higher on average than other industries.  Whilst the primary central London location contributes to this increase, it is in part due to the demands financial services businesses place on candidates in terms of background and experience.

As soon as positions reach Marketing Executive level and above a background in a regulatory environment is highly desirable and in some cases essential.

Financial services regulatory environment and the restrictions it imposes demands marketers with a solid grasp of the traditional marketing mix.

As a slower digital adopter, traditional offline channels including direct marketing, events and consumer media features far more prevalently than other sectors, and although digital marketing is on the rise, the demand for solely digital skill sets is less than you may find elsewhere.
